Konica Minolta Contributes to CalPoly's Graphic Communication Programme
RAMSEY, NJ: Konica Minolta Business Solutions in collaboration with California Polytechnic State University (CalPoly) has donated print engines and multi-channel marketing software for CalPoly’s Graphics Communications Program. This contribution will benefit the University Communication Program by educating and supporting them to excel in the initiatives.
“This donation will enable CalPoly students to experience our innovative products and services that are currently shaping the industry and prepare them to be leaders in the world of graphics communications,” says Kevin Kern, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Konica Minolta Business Solutions, U.S.A.
The products donated include Konica Minolta bizhub C1100 PRESS which is a color digital press that can print upto 100 impressions per minute with maximum paper capacity for long runs and a wide array of inline finishing options.
Konica Minolta bizhub C754e features 9-inch color touchscreen with enhanced resolution, used for previewing color documents before they are printed. It also includes an advanced color evaluation instrument, FD-5BT Spectrodensitometer, which consider the fluorescence of the paper under Illuminant D50, a standard light source used by printing industry. These instruments provide industry-standard spectral measurements critical for producing high-quality graphic arts images.
In order to simplify the data-management, segmentation, creative design and deployment of multi-channel marketing campaigns, EngageIT XMedia, cloud-based software, was also provided by Konica Minolta to the CalPoly University.
“Our students have been using the bizhub exclusively from design and publication output, Variable Data Publishing experimentation, and for test sheet color. It is remarkable output and we are glad to have Konica Minolta as an educational access provider to our technologists of the future!” says Kenneth Macro, Ph.D., Professor and Chairman, Graphic Communication Department, California Polytechnic State University.
